Love Rain to be aired on March 26, 2012 in KBS2!

Love Rain is the much-awaited korean drama this summer. it starred two of the most popular korean idols today - Asia's prince, Jang Geun Suk and Kpop Goddess, Yoona will portray the father-son and mother-daughter tandem respectively. It is a drama that deals with the essence of love beyond the generation, with pure love in 70s and trendy romance in the modern society. As i read the plot of the series, a korean movie came into my mind with almost the same story - The Classic which starred Son Ye Jin. i was surprised at first but i found it very interesting and wonder how will the story grow. Though i am not a big fan of melo-dramas, i come to like some, like Cinderella Sister, Winter Sonata, Autumn in my heart. I hope that Love Rain will exceed my expectations and enjoy watching till the end.

Love Rain is scheduled to air on March 26, 2012 in KBS2 and will replace Dream High 2. On the other hand, it will have a kdrama showdown with another SNSD member, Yuri in Fashion King. Love Rain and Fashion King will be broadcasted on the same date and time so a fierce face-off is expected to happen! Stay tuned!

Synopsis:

“Love Rain” is a fantasy, melodrama that illustrates the love stories that take place in the 1970s and current era. It tells the story of how love in the 1970’s passes on to the next generation. Both Jang and Yoona play 2 roles each. Jang plays a father-son pairing, the father named Seo In Ha (in the ‘70s portion of the drama), and the son named Seo Joon. Yoona also plays a mother-daughter pairing, the mother named Kim Yoon Hee, a young woman with pure appearance, and the daughter named Yuri.

Love Rain itself will tell story of a lover who lived during 70s : art scholar Seo In Ha (played by Jang Geun Suk) and innocent college girl Kim Yoon Hee (played by Yoona). The love story continues with their second generation, Seo Jun (Seo In Ha’s son) and Yoo Ri (Kim Yoon Hee’s daughter) in the year 0f 2012. The second generation also played by Jang Geun Suk and Yoona.

The drama comes from respected director Yoon Seok Ho who helmed super hit “season drama” ‘Autumn in My Heart’, ‘Winter Sonata’, ‘Summer Scent’, and ‘Spring Waltz’.

It still early to tell how Love Rain looks like but the production seems on fire with the first script reading already held for early next year premiere. ‘Love Rain’ will begin filming in late September and is aiming to release in early 2012.

NEWS: 

‎"Love Rain" will be 20 episodes. The first 4 episodes of the 70's era will be filmed in Daegu, followed by hiatus, then the rest of the 16 episodes will be filmed next year.
